Flent K. McNeill, 58, of Albany passed away peacefully Sunday, September 24, 2017.
Flent’s wish was to be cremated and placed with his identical twin brother, Kent.
A grave side service will be held after Thanksgiving at the Johnson Cemetery, at Moran, Tx in Shackelford County. Time and date to be decided later.
Flent will be laid to rest beside his brothers Zane McNeill and Kent J McNeill.
Cremation services are in the care of Abilene Funeral Homes.
Flent was born in Winters, Texas, on December 20, 1958 to Jon and Lavoy King McNeill a few minutes before his brother Kent.
Flent graduated from Winters High School in 1977 where he excelled in all sports. The summer after graduation, he ran track in Europe. He attended Western Texas College in Snyder. He worked across the state in the oil and gas industry. Later he worked as a Certified Nurses aide. He enjoyed watching college and professional sports, including NASCAR.
Preceding him in death are his parents and his brothers Zane King McNeill, Dickie Jon McNeill, Kent J. McNeill, nephews Shae Scott, Alan Oden, and niece April McNeill.
Surviving Flent is his daughter Kayden McNeill, her partner Bray Chambles and 3 grandsons, Kyler and Kayson Cummings and Trip Chambles, his sisters Jill McClellan and husband Les of Hawley; Jan Oden and husband Joe Dan of Albany; sisters in law Charlotte McNeill of Christoval, Dr. Cheryl McNeill of College Station and Sissy Presley of Albany. Also his ex-wife Sharon McWhirter and her husband Ronnie and his father in law Dick Hash.
Many nieces and nephews who will remember wild and crazy Uncle Flent fondly. His great nieces and nephews will never forget when he took them snipe hunting.
