Hale McKissack Coming Home

The remains of Hale McKissack, who was killed on the USS Oklahoma during the Japanese attacks on Pearl Harbor, are coming home for burial in Winters on Saturday May 4th. 

The Patriot Riders and other groups will be escorting Seaman McKissack.  The funeral procession will leave Lange funeral home in Ballinger at 1 p.m. for burial at Fairview Cemetery in Winters.


Ballinger City Manager Tommy Turney has bought cases of American flags to hand out to anyone who would like to come out and line the streets in Ballinger to honor McKissack at 1 p.m. on Saturday. There will also be bottled water available for free.
