Atmos Energy will begin natural gas system construction in Ballinger later this month as part of a major infrastructure upgrade.
Work will take place along the alleyway between North 7th Street and North Broadway from Harris Avenue to Park Avenue, and along Bonsall Avenue from North Broadway to North 4th Street. Crews will be replacing aging natural gas pipelines to improve safety, reliability, and reduce methane emissions.
Residents can expect to see traffic cones, barriers, and construction equipment in the work areas. Atmos Energy says the City of Ballinger and emergency responders have been notified, and impacted property will be restored once work is complete.
The project is part of Atmos Energy’s multi-billion-dollar investment in Texas infrastructure.
