The City of Ballinger is now fully current on its financial reporting, with the release of its fiscal year 2025 audit.
Auditors issued a clean opinion, finding the city’s financial statements fairly presented and in line with standard accounting rules.
Overall net position rose to about 10-point-9 million dollars, with most gains driven by business-type operations like water and sewer services.
Those utilities generated strong operating income and helped boost total net position by nearly 900-thousand dollars.
Governmental funds remained steady, ending the year with about 1-point-4 million dollars in fund balance, despite a modest operating deficit offset by transfers and asset sales.
The report also shows continued investment in infrastructure and manageable long-term debt, with no immediate concerns about the city’s financial stability.
City leaders say the updated audit brings Ballinger fully back in compliance and provides a clear picture moving forward.
