The City of Ballinger is celebrating what officials are calling the most successful citywide cleanup effort in the community’s history.
City leaders say residents worked together to remove more than 65-and-a-half tons of junk and garbage from containers placed around town and at the city dump site.
The total cost of the cleanup came in at just over 87-hundred dollars, not including the many hours city employees dedicated to the project.
Officials say the overwhelming response shows Ballinger residents are committed to building a cleaner, more beautiful community in 2026 and beyond.
The city plans to host another cleanup event this fall as part of its ongoing “Keep Ballinger Beautiful” efforts.
