The Ballinger City Council will meet Monday evening, with the city’s budget and property tax rate among the major items on the agenda.
Public hearings begin at 5:30 p.m. on the proposed fiscal year 2027 budget and a proposed tax rate of 56.79 cents per $100 of valuation. Council members are also scheduled to consider closing Eighth Street downtown for the city’s October 31st Trunk or Treat event and canceling the election for Councilmember Place Four.
The council may also meet in executive session concerning the Ballinger Volunteer Fire Department, a sewer plant land lease and appointments to the Planning and Zoning Commission.
