The Ballinger City Council meets Monday evening, September 8, with a busy agenda. The council will hold public hearings on the city’s proposed budget for the 2025 fiscal year, as well as a proposed property tax rate of just under 57 cents per 100 dollars of valuation. Council members are expected to take action on adopting both items after the hearings. Also on the agenda is an agreement with the Runnels County Elections Office to conduct the city’s November 4th election, and approval of a TxDOT Aviation obstruction survey at the Ballinger Airport. The survey requires a ten percent local match, capped at ten thousand dollars. Monday’s meeting begins at 5:30 at City Hall.
