Ballinger Elementary School is preparing for its annual Pre-K and Kindergarten Roundup, with online pre-registration opening April 13th.
New students enrolling in Ballinger ISD must complete the process through the district’s Ascender Parent Portal. Families can also drop off required documents at the elementary front office between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. daily during the registration window, which runs through April 16th.
To qualify, children must be four years old for Pre-K or five years old for Kindergarten by September 1st.
Parents will need to provide documents including a birth certificate, Social Security card, immunization records, proof of residency, and a guardian’s driver’s license. Additional income verification is required for Pre-K applicants.
The district will offer in-person assistance on April 16th from 4 to 6:30 p.m. for families needing help completing registration.
School officials say class assignments will be announced in August.
