The City of Ballinger has entered Stage 3 water restrictions after Ballinger Lake dropped below 1,658 feet in elevation.
All lawn and landscape sprinkler irrigation is now prohibited. Hand watering with a hose is allowed only on designated days, and never between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Use of fire hydrants is restricted to firefighting, and water may be purchased for domestic use at the Ballinger Fire Department’s bulk loading station.
Wasteful practices like washing driveways, letting water run more than 75 feet, or refilling pools are banned. Violations carry fines up to $500 and possible water shutoff.
