Students in Ballinger are adding color and creativity to summer with the launch of the “Summer Time Rocks” project. Organized by Ballinger Junior High 8th graders, the project was inspired by a local scavenger hunt and aims to engage the community throughout the summer months.
Students painted decorative rocks, which will be hidden around town. Children and teens ages 0 to 18 who find a painted rock can turn it in at the Ballinger City Pool for free admission that day.
Organizers thanked the City of Ballinger for supporting the initiative and for its continued efforts to keep the city park safe and welcoming. The hunt is open now and encourages local families to explore, play, and enjoy the outdoors.
