The Ballinger Bearcats and Lady Cats, along with the Winters Blizzards and Lady Blizzards, will compete at the Region I-2A Track and Field Meet May 1st and 2nd in Canyon.
Ballinger qualified a strong group of athletes, including Zac Harrison, Hunter Peacock, Kaiden Medrano, Manny Gonzalez, Brody Wilde, Julio Salazar, Leo Rangel, Tre Lopez, Jonathan Briseno, Miguel Avila, Kelton Shannon, Gavin Knight, Josh Martinez, Christian Carney and Jack Robertson.
Lady Cat qualifiers include Ashtyn Wilson, Lyla Aguero, Harlee Mikalik, Clara Hoelscher, Macey Wagoner, Emma Gallant and Paityn Lange.
Winters will also be represented in the 4×100 girls relay, 100 meter dash, 300 High Hurdles, 200 meters, Pole Vault, Discus and Shot Put.
Top finishers at the regional meet will advance to the UIL State Track and Field Championships later this spring.
