Coleman law enforcement is asking for the public’s help in locating a wanted fugitive who escaped arrest late Thursday afternoon. Authorities say 44-year-old Robert Mack Walters of Coleman fled on foot as officers attempted to take him into custody on multiple outstanding warrants. Walters is described as a white male, five-foot-seven, about 150 pounds, with a shaved head, green eyes, and numerous tattoos, including his last name across his chest.
He was last seen wearing a red T-shirt, ball cap, blue jeans, and boots. Walters is wanted on charges including Injury to an Elderly Family Member, a felony, and Terroristic Threat of a Family Member, a misdemeanor, with additional charges pending.
Officials warn Walters is dangerous and urge residents not to approach him. Anyone who spots Walters should call 9-1-1 immediately and stay on the line with dispatchers until help arrives. Residents are also encouraged to secure vehicles, homes, and valuables as a precaution.
