The Concho Valley Council of Governments will hold its first public meeting on a potential spaceport in the region. The meeting is Thursday, February 12, at the Concho Valley Transit Annex, 506 North Chadbourne Street. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with the session running from 6 to 8 p.m.
The meeting launches the Concho Valley Spaceport Feasibility Study, funded by the Texas Space Commission, which will evaluate whether the region could support a future spaceport. Experts from aerospace, infrastructure, acoustics, and cultural resource firms will be on hand.
Attendees can expect a brief presentation, staffed information stations, one-on-one discussions, and interactive tools to provide feedback. CVCOG says the study does not assume a spaceport will be built, but aims to determine the feasibility and appropriateness for the region.
Residents are encouraged to attend and share their input.
