Early voting for the March 3 primary election begins February 17 and continues through February 27 in Runnels County.
Ballots may be cast at 600 Strong Avenue in Ballinger during the early voting period.
Locally, the only contested race on the county ballot is for Justice of the Peace Precinct 1. Three candidates — Dawni Seymore, Steven Scrivner, and Paul Cummings — are seeking the nomination.
The race follows the retirement of longtime Justice of the Peace Lane Pinckney in 2025, opening the bench to new leadership for Precinct 1.
All other county races on the ballot are uncontested.
Election Day is Tuesday, March 3. Voters are encouraged to take advantage of early voting to avoid Election Day lines.
