Runnels County 4-H is kicking off its Food and Nutrition Project with a hands-on learning event September 19. The Food and Nutrition Extravaganza will cover Food Show and Food Challenge contests, including contest rules, getting started, coaching tips and presentation skills. Experienced 4-H members are encouraged to attend, as there are minor updates to contest rules and guidelines. The event is open to youth and adults and runs from 2 to 5 p.m. at the County Extension Office. Cost is $5 per 4-H family. RSVP by September 16 at 325-365-2219.
