Catching up on the local high-school football action from Friday, September 5th, Ballinger squeezed past Christoval Friday night with a 13–6 victory. Miles shut out Sterling City 20–nothing. Winters struggled on the road, falling to Munday 49–0. Bronte rolled over Rule in a 50–nothing shutout, while Paint Rock outlasted Loraine in a shootout, 51–46. On Thursday, the May Junior Varsity topped Olfen, 45–6.
Looking ahead to this week, Ballinger will celebrate homecoming with game against San Angelo TLCA, Winters at home against Sterling City, Miles travels to Johnson City, Bronte goes to Veribest, Olfen and Paint Rock square off Friday in Paint Rock
