Community leaders will be “locked up” for a good cause September 30th during the 1925 Runnels County Jail and Bail Fundraiser.
From 9 a.m. until about noon, local leaders, business owners and other “community champions” will be placed behind bars at the old jail near the Runnels County Courthouse. Donations will serve as their bail.
A pulled-pork sandwich lunch with chips and a drink will be served around noon. Plates are $10 in advance through September 25th or $15 at the door.
Proceeds will help restore the century-old jail and transform it into a museum preserving Runnels County history.
