Love our parks and want to make a difference? The City of Ballinger is now accepting nominations and volunteers for its Parks & Recreation Board. If you’ve got ideas, energy, and a passion for improving Ballinger’s parks and public green spaces, the Board would like to hear from you.
The Parks & Recreation Department runs City Park on Elm Creek — 20 acres featuring playgrounds, a splash pad, disc golf course, RV hookups, and a municipal pool. It also maintains City Lake and supports outdoor recreation and community events.
Stop by City Hall or call 325-365-3511 to learn more or put your name in. The deadline to inquire is October 3, 2025, and the appointment will be made at the City Council meeting on October 6, 2025. Let’s keep Ballinger’s parks a great place for everyone.
