The Miles City Council has approved an ordinance restricting outdoor burning within the city limits under certain conditions.
Council members approved the measure Tuesday, September eighth. The ordinance allows the city to ban outdoor burning when circumstances create an increased danger to public health or property.
Anyone violating the ordinance could face a fine of up to 2,000 dollars. The measure also repeals any conflicting city ordinances and takes effect following the required public notice.
