Miles residents will have an opportunity to comment on the city’s proposed 2026-27 budget and tax rate Tuesday, September 8th. A public hearing is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at Miles City Hall, 110 North Robinson. The proposed tax rate is 30-point-4595 cents per 100 dollars of taxable value, and the city says the proposal would increase total property taxes by 10-point-86 percent. The proposed budget would generate about 13-thousand-872 dollars more in property-tax revenue than last year. Copies of the budget are available at City Hall.
