The Runnels County 4-H Food Show is set for Sunday, October 12 at the Ballinger Community Center. This year’s theme is Food Truck Favorites, challenging young cooks from kindergarten through high school to create appetizers, main dishes, side dishes, or healthy desserts inspired by street food.
The event begins with a knowledge showcase at 2 p.m., followed by interviews and judging. Winners in each age division will advance to the district contest in Abilene on November 13.
Recipes must be submitted online at the Runnels County Extension website by October 6. For details or help with registration, contact the Extension office.
