The Runnels County 4-H Scholarship Foundation is kicking off its annual fundraising effort as part of San Angelo Gives, continuing its mission to support local youth in agriculture.
Established three years ago through the generosity of two major donors, the foundation awards scholarships each year to graduating Runnels County 4-H members. Organizers say continued community support is key to keeping those opportunities available for future generations.
4-H programs play a vital role in Runnels County, helping develop leadership skills and preparing young people for careers in agriculture — one of the region’s leading industries.
