Farmers and ag professionals will gather for the 2025 Runnels County Cotton Field Day on Thursday, October 2nd, beginning at 9 a.m. The cotton plots are located between Ballinger and Rowena on Paul Minzenmayer’s farm just off Highway 67.
The event, which offers two continuing education credits, highlights new research and practices to help growers improve yields and sustainability. Runnels County harvested more than 91,000 bales of cotton last year, and with timely rains this summer, the 2025 crop is looking strong.
A noon lunch will be served at St. Hubert’s Hall in Ballinger. RSVPs are requested by September 24th by calling the Extension office
