Runnels County has adopted its tax rate for the 2026-27 fiscal year. According to information posted by the county, the new rate will generate more maintenance and operations tax revenue than last year’s rate. County officials say the tax rate is effectively being increased by 4-point-30 percent. For a home valued at 100-thousand dollars, the county says the change will increase maintenance and operations taxes by approximately 74 dollars and 72 cents.
