The planned TxDOT highway resurfacing project in Ballinger has been postponed.
The project was scheduled to begin today, September first, but TxDOT says the work is now expected to begin in late September.
TxDOT has contracted Price Construction to resurface portions of Highway 67, or Hutchings Avenue, from the bridge near Toliver’s to the bridge on the opposite side of town. Work will also include Highway 158, continuing up to Pou Street.
Once the project begins, traffic will continue to flow, but motorists should expect temporary stops, lane changes and slower traffic.
There will be no parking along Hutchings Avenue, or Highway 67, during the resurfacing project.
Motorists are urged to use caution and allow extra travel time.
