Winters Independent School District has issued a follow-up to a safety communication sent to families and the community last Thursday.
The district says the situation that prompted the earlier communication has been addressed, appropriate actions were taken, and students and staff are safe. Officials say there is no ongoing threat to the Winters ISD community.
The district thanked local law enforcement for its quick and professional response, along with school staff, guardians and community members who reported concerns.
Winters ISD says the safety and well-being of students and staff remains its highest priority.
