Alexander De La Cruz, 69, of San Angelo passed away Friday, August 7, 2026.
He was born December 29, 1956 in Ballinger to Juan Pedro and Bertha De La Cruz. They preceded him in death, along with his siblings: Amelia, Peter, and Samuel, in a car accident in 1967. After their passing, he was raised in Winters by Joe and Nadine De La Cruz. He graduated Winters High School in 1975. He attended Paris Junior College in Paris, Texas for Jewelry Design. He worked for jewelers in Lubbock, Conroe, and San Angelo. He was an amazingly talented artist.
He was also preceded in death by his parent Joe De La Cruz; brother Juan De La Cruz.
He is survived by his mom Nadine De La Cruz of Winters; siblings: Ernestina Pena of San Angelo, JoRay De La Cruz of Austin, Rick De La Cruz of Odessa, Becky Word and husband Carl of San Angelo; 9 nieces and nephews;12 grand-nieces and nephews; and special longtime friend Yolanda Jimenez Rosales.
The family will receive friends and family at Winters Funeral Home on Friday, August 14, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 15, 2026 at Winters Funeral Home with niece Kristan Renshaw officiating.
