Bobby Lee Mayo, 95, of Winters passed away Thursday, September 10, 2026.
He was born October 22, 1930 in Winters to Tom and Annie Mayo. He attended school in Winters. He worked at theatres from 1940 to 1975. On April 14, 1973, he opened Burger Hut which remained open for 25 years until his retirement in 1986. He was president of the Chamber of Commerce in 1973. Bobby was a member of the Winters Lions Club, the Z.I. Hale Museum, the Rock Hotel, and a lifelong member of the Methodist Church in Winters.
Bobby was preceded in death by his sister Mary Mao Wetsel and brothers Curtis and Shirley Mayo.
He is survived by several nieces and nephews, and leaves behind numerous close friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 12, 2026 at the First Methodist Church in Winters with burial following at Northview Cemetery.
