Michael Alatorre, Jr, 31, of Winters passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2026 in Midland.

He was born September 26, 1994 in Abilene to Michael Alatorre, Sr. and Maribel Nunez Esparza. He grew up and attended school in Winters. He started dating Valentina Villarreal when they were 12 years old and they married in 2017. They had four children together who he was a great provider for and he loved to spoil.
Michael began working in the oilfield right out of school and was in the oilfield industry for 15 years. He was currently a gas plant operator/supervisor and was in that industry for 12 years, with those industries overlapping. He was dedicated to his work and loved learning. He enjoyed hunting and modifying trucks and cars. He also loved to cook, often enjoying a nice cold Ultra light while barbecuing and listening to good music.
He was preceded in death by his son Michael Alatorre, III and uncle Ruben Reyes, Jr.
Michael is survived by his wife Valentina Alatorre; children: Maya Maribel Alatorre, Gerardo Matel Alatorre, and Moses Miguel Alatorre; parents: Fortunato and Maribel Esparza and Michael Alatorre, Sr.; sister Leann Cook and husband Kevin and their children Marley, Rylee, and Loretta; maternal grandmother Rosemary Reyes; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m. Sunday, September 20, 2026 at Winters Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 21, 2026 at Mt. Carmel Catholic Church.
