I’ve always loved 90s country music, and there are plenty of countdowns that focus on today’s hits, but not many that slow things down and revisit a specific moment from the past. That’s what The 90s Country Countdown is about.

Each week, I rewind to the same week from a chosen year in the 1990s and count down the Top 20 country songs exactly as they were charting at the time. Same order. Same flow. The songs are played the way they lived on the radio, not rushed and not treated like a history lesson.

Along the way, I share the stories behind some of the records. How they came together, where the artist was in their career, and why certain songs connected the way they did. You will hear the biggest names of the decade, but also artists who were just starting to break.

Growing up, the only countdown show I listened to was American Country Countdown with Bob Kingsley. What stuck with me was the storytelling, the pacing, and the way the show trusted the listener. That influence lives here. Letting the music lead, giving it context, and making the listener feel like they are part of the journey.

This show is not about being overly nostalgic. It is about recreating the experience of hearing these songs when they were new. Familiar, comfortable, and fun.
