Steve Everett, a seasoned broadcasting professional with a track record of success, integrity, and passion for community development.  My broadcasting career began at my hometown station, KRUN-AM owned by broadcast legend Bob McGarvey at the age of 14.  My career spans over 55 years, and it’s been a wonderful career.   And, I am overjoyed returning to Ballinger to rebuild and rebrand KRUN 1400.  I love this town, it's people, and its rich agricultural and business traditions.

The Texas Association of Broadcasters honored me with the Bonner McLane Award for Community Development projects in Radio.  My journey is adorned with other prestigious awards including the Huntsville-Walker County Chamber of Commerce Leadership Award, Director of the Year award and four coveted "Addy Awards" in advertising/marketing from the San Angelo Advertising Federation.  My stations have been honored as “Business of the Year” in the communities that I have served.

Beyond the professional realm, my heart lies with family, golf, travel, and an unwavering passion for college sports.
