The National Weather Service in San Angelo is urging schools, businesses, and residents across West Central Texas to take part in a tornado drill next week.
The drill is scheduled for Wednesday, April first at 10 a-m as part of Severe Weather Awareness Week, which runs March 29th through April 4th.
Officials say a test message will be sent over NOAA Weather Radio and emergency alert systems. Some local radio and TV stations may also carry the alert.
The Weather Service stresses the importance of having at least two ways to receive warnings and a practiced safety plan.
