Ballinger Bearcats head football coach Bryan Gayoso is receiving statewide recognition following Friday night’s dramatic victory over Forsan.
Gayoso was named the Class Two-A Coach of the Week by Dave Campbell’s Texas Football on Tuesday.
The honor follows Ballinger’s thrilling 40-to-37 comeback victory over previously unbeaten Forsan.
The Bearcats rallied from a nine-point fourth-quarter deficit to secure the win.
Gayoso is in his second season as Ballinger’s head coach after serving many years as an assistant.
The Bearcats travel to Colorado City Friday night for another district showdown
