The Ballinger Junior Livestock Show is set for Sunday, December 7th, bringing young exhibitors and their animals to the Ballinger Community Center for a full day of competition. Move-in begins at 8 a.m., with entries due by 1 p.m. The show officially starts at 2.
This year’s show will feature rabbits, cattle, sheep, goats, and swine, following a set order throughout the afternoon. Showmanship for each species will take place immediately after its division wraps up, giving participants extra chances to demonstrate their handling skills.
Entry fees are $10 per animal. The popular Old Timers Show will also return, allowing past exhibitors and community members to get in on the fun with a $10 nomination or a $20 buyout option.
Keith Porter will serve as judge for all divisions.
The event is sponsored by the Ballinger Ag Boosters.
