Local leaders met Thursday with Keep Texas Beautiful and the West Texas Council of Governments to discuss new grant opportunities and highlight the strong strides Ballinger is making in community clean-up and recycling efforts.
The city’s Spring and Fall clean-up programs, along with cardboard and aluminum can recycling, are part of a larger mission to keep Ballinger clean and green. The recycling center is partnering with regional groups to expand services and create even more opportunities for responsible disposal.
Residents are urged to take part. A small fee applies for non-water bill holders who dump more than once monthly, helping offset costs for large-item pickups.
Volunteers are especially needed to help clean up alleys and streets. For more information, contact City Hall at 325-365-3511. Together, we can keep Ballinger beautiful.
