Cold Front Brings Chilly Start to New Year’s Week After Warm Holiday Stretch

SHARE NOW

The National Weather  Service is looking ahead into the final days of 2025,  saying changes are coming to our weather. After a mild holiday break, temperatures around the Agri Plex have taken a sharp turn. Monday’s forecast calls for cooler conditions with cloudy skies and a chance of light sprinkles, with highs only in the mid-40s.

Tuesday and Wednesday will stay on the cool side with highs in the 40s and low 60s, while New Year’s Eve looks dry and seasonably chilly — a great night for celebrations without significant precipitation.

But don’t put away those jackets just yet. After a brief cool stretch, temperatures are expected to climb again early next week, with highs back into the 70s and even upper 70s by Friday.

In short: cool start to your week, a pleasant New Year’s Eve, and warmer weather returning toward early January.
