Boil Water Notice Lifted for Ballinger Residents

SHARE NOW

The boil water notice for many Ballinger residents has been lifted.

City officials say the notice was issued last Friday after a construction crew struck and damaged a major water line on Crosson Avenue, interrupting service and raising concerns about possible contamination.

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the city to notify customers to boil water before consumption while repairs and testing were underway.

City officials say corrective actions have restored proper pressure and disinfectant levels, and lab tests confirm the water is now safe to drink.

The boil water notice was officially rescinded Tuesday.
