Congressman August Pfluger is encouraging students across the 11th District to take part in a nationwide art competition celebrating America’s 250th anniversary, entitled “Bookmark Design Challenge: Celebrating America’s 250th.”
The contest is open to students in kindergarten through eighth grade. Participants are asked to create an original, hand-drawn bookmark showing what America means to them. Three national winners — one from grades K through 2, 3 through 5, and 6 through 8 — will be recognized during 2026 anniversary events in Washington, D.C.
Entries must be submitted online at arts.gov by March 31st at 4 p.m.
