Royce “Butch” Heathcott
1940-2025

Royce "Butch" Heathcott passed away on June 13, 2025, at the age of 84. He was born on October 31, 1940, to Dick and Minnie Heathcott in Wingate, Texas and lived in Waller, Texas most of his life.

Royce was married to his beloved spouse, Neita, in 1961. Together, they had two children: Liz Aiken, who is married to Tony Aiken, and John Heathcott. Royce was a loving father and a proud grandfather to four grandchildren: Keith Kmiec and spouse Sagen, Justin Heathcott, Weston Heathcott and spouse Katie, and Samantha Heathcott. Royce was also a proud great grandfather to his 3 adorable babies, Cooper, Olivia, and Waylon. He is survived by one brother Ronnie Heathcott and his twin sister Joyce "Sissy" Heathcott. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Arnold, Rass, Jimmy, and Ray, and sisters Maxine Pritchard and Arlene Defoor.

Royce was known for his love of piddling in his shop, where he would spend hours working on various projects. To some, his shop was a little scary, but to him, it was his heaven on earth! He had a great love for knives, the bigger the better was always his thought. He was an outdoorsy kinda guy, fishing and camping in his younger days was his thing, and later on in life it was his chickens and pepper plants.

Royce will be greatly missed by his family and friends, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 18, 2025 from 8-10am at Canon Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 10am with Pastor Blake Nichols officiating. Interment will follow at Canon Mathis Cemetery.
