Runnels County Man Held on $2 Million Bond in Montana Double Homicide Case

SHARE NOW

A Runnels County man is now being held on a two-million-dollar bond in connection with a deadly shooting in Stillwater County, Montana.

Authorities say 23-year-old Ty Turney, formerly of Ballinger, is charged with two counts of deliberate homicide and two counts of attempted deliberate homicide.

Investigators say the December 2025 incident left two people dead and two others injured at a residence along Stillwater River Road. Turney was arrested shortly after the shootings following a crash while fleeing the scene.

Court proceedings earlier this year had initially held Turney without bond, but the bond has now been set at two million dollars as the case moves forward.

Officials say the death penalty will not be sought in the case.

The investigation remains ongoing, with additional court hearings expected in the coming months.
