More than $15,000 was raised last week to help restore Runnels County’s historic 1925 jail during their fun Jail and Bail event held on the courthouse lawn, but the fundraising effort isn’t over. County Judge Julia Miller says donations are still being accepted, with 100% of the money going toward restoration of the century-old jail and plans to eventually turn the building into a museum. Donations can be made at the County Judge’s Office in Ballinger or by check payable to The 1925 Runnels County Jail Incorporated. Donations are tax deductible. For information, call 325-365-2633
